10/10 Forged Earrings Workshop

This one is for the earring lovers. Hand-forged sterling silver, finished with a pearl or gemstone bead of your choice, and made entirely by you.

This workshop is taught by Shelby Evans, owner and maker behind Modeco Jewelry, a woman-owned jewelry line based in Portland, Oregon. With years of experience in metalsmithing and handcrafted jewelry design, Shelby is passionate about helping others learn the art of jewelry making in a welcoming and approachable environment.

In this 3-hour workshop, you will be guided through the steps of creating custom geometric earrings. Class sizes are kept small to ensure hands-on instruction from an experienced metalsmith. Each student will create their own custom sterling silver earrings from start to finish, with the option to add a natural pearl or gemstone bead accent. Depending on the design, most students will have enough material to create 2 pairs. Skills covered:

• Forming shapes
• Soldering
• Shaping and texturing
• Assembly
• Refining and polishing

*All materials and the use of tools is included.

*For safety reasons, I kindly ask that students be age 18+, or 16+ with a participating parent/guardian.

*Please bring eye magnification if needed. We will be working with small items which can be difficult to see clearly
